I offer my services at the Diapason Santé clinic in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, from home in Vieux-Rosemont as well as in a shared office in Ville-Émard.
I am a caring and attentive therapist and it would be my pleasure to guide you with compassion on your journey to wellbeing through a holistic approach.
I am a member of Osteopathy Québec (#230055) and I provide an insurance receipt at the end of each treatment.
I’ve always been drawn to exploring the connection between rhythm, movement and mindfulness. Growing up, dancing ballet taught me the delicate balance between strength and flexibility, while playing the violin attuned me to emotions and being in harmony. Having grown up in Nova Scotia, I developed a deep appreciation for the ocean where the waves instilled an understanding of nature’s expanding and retracting, but yet unpredictable patterns. I later began practicing yoga which sharpened my ability to stay grounded and further pushed me to discover the mind-body connection.
I was focused to continue exploring the complexity of the human mind and body by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at McGill University. I also deepened my yoga practice at this moment by completing a teacher training program. Having moved to Montreal, ballet and violin made way for new activities as I joined the Montreal Lithuanian Folk Dancing group called Gintaras, not knowing I would later become one of its coaches.
Driven by a desire to work in the health domain where my vision of integrating the body, heart and mind would be possible, it was the all-encompassing approach of osteopathy that resonated most with me. I embarked with determination on a challenging 6 years to complete the two cycle program to obtain my D.O. at the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques in Montréal. Today, as an osteopath, I bring forward in my practice my gentleness, sensitivity, and clinical discernment. I am dedicated to understanding each patient on a profound level—physiologically, biomechanically, and bio-psycho-socially. Osteopathy allows me to continuously explore the concepts of rhythm, movement and mindfulness.
Osteopathy is founded on the philosophy that all systems of the body are interconnected and operate as a functional unit. When mobility, nerve communication and vascular flow are in balance, the body can effectively auto-regulate and self-heal. Osteopathic manual therapy focuses on releasing tensions in the neuro-musculoskeletal, fascia-visceral, fluid and/or cranial-sacral systems to enhance the body’s natural ability to recover and function optimally.
